The Gittermite (pronounced /ˈdʒɪt.ər.majt/ JIT-ər-myte) is a species found in Jimaya's Giant Pyramid of Petaluma. It can cling to ceilings. According to Inez's Jimaya guidebook, the only way to get rid of one is to slime it with orange marmalade.
They appear in "A Perfect Fit", where one wraps Jackie in its tongue. When Digit sprays it with orange marmalade, it drops her and retreats.
Physical appearance[]
Gittermites have large, yellowed, bloodshot eyes with green eyelids and pink irises. Their prehensile tongues are light green and resemble vines.
The only fully visible Gittermite has green, mossy fur, and nostrils. Many thin, three-toed legs connect to its otherwise snakelike body at orange dots. There are also several pairs of antennae along the top of its body.
