"Crystal Clear"

The Sync Cave is the only known location used to reactivate cyborgs' Synchrometers. The cave formerly contained the Synchronizer Crystal, prior to its theft and replacement. It appears in "Crystal Clear".

The Sync Cave also contains various smaller crystals, including synchronium crystals and powder; dangerous depths full of native wildlife; and a hot spring.

The Sync Cave is or houses the Crystal Cave, which is filled with crystals of various shapes and colors, and reappears in "Fit To Be Heroes"[1].

Process[]

Cyborgs need to book reservations to use the Sync Cave. Appointments can be canceled on short notice and rescheduled weeks into the future in favor of someone more important, as demonstrated in the case of Digit and Hacker's reservations. The borg with the current appointment must speak with an active staff member to verify information such as the number on their Synchrometer. The borg then uses a handprint scanner to verify their identity, open the doors, and enter the Sync Cave.

The borg must cross a bridge over a chasm to reach the Synchronizer Crystal.

After reactivation, the borg exits the Sync Cave and must sign out using a clipboard. In "Crystal Clear", Jules conveys that failure to do so puts the active staff member in trouble.

During his employment at the Sync Cave, Jules states several rules by number from the rulebook. Rule 8G states, "No one gets extra time in the Sync Cave". Rule 16F states that the active staff member must record the serial number on each Borg's Synchrometer.

Additionally, according to Jules, the job description didn't mention "crawling on [one's] hands and knees through a scary cave", suggesting that there is no process in place for retrieving borgs from the depths of the Sync Cave.
